As a music composition major at California State University San Bernardino, Brian was required to write a piece of music, that was selected for presentation at a recital.

The 9 minute piece, composed for flute and piano, was performed by two of his fellow students.  I'm sure Brian was as anxious as an expectant father leading up to the performance.

It came off without a hitch, and received a welcome round of applause when it ended.

I recall feeling quite proud of him... and it was odd that I felt the composition had a Jethro Tull feeling in some parts. 

Maybe there is something to the idea of rock and roll being in your blood stream...
