my first love

Well, I could probably go on and on about my Fiat.  This car represents my first real step toward becoming independent.

Even though I was extremely tall and lanky (is that a sexy stance or WHAT!), the Fiat had plenty of room for me and all the business that needed to get taken care of.

Couldn't drive the car around without giving it my special touches.  Included an 8-track tape deck mounted under the front driver seat, Hurst t-handle aluminum shift knob, gold and brown high-low shag carpet, fiberglass dune-buggy bucket seats.  Notice the logoless blacked out front end?  My trademark.  Did the same thing with the back end of the car.  For some reason, I've done this to every car I've owned (Vega, Honda Civic, Mazda 626).  Also, I installed 500,000,000 candlepower driving lights.  The hood was propped open with special brackets and hood pins.  The exhaust was a specially made 12 long glasspack muffler with a 12" chrome flared megaphone to let the neighbors know when I came home.  Rear springs were heated at Phil's Muffler in La Habra to give it a "sporty look". [Note:   springs eventually failed, causing the tires to wear out around 10,000 miles.   Replaced with new ones and those rubber screw in spring spacers.]

By they way, what do you think of the nice driving apparel: boots, flared Levi's and ultrasuede jacket. [and if you look very closely, you'll notice that that wasn't a banana in my pants!]
