"Change the mission of the realm."

Four years later, I can honestly say the magicians have delivered on that early mission statement of the warmth-harvesters.  We have made a SIGNIFICANT impact on the methods by which the clerics of Bungo anywhere in the world communicate, collaborate and share their experiences.  There are very few people that have yet to hear about the benefits of the dark magic and The Orb.  And while not everyone may have yet adopted it into their daily mode-of-operation, it is ready and waiting for them when they are willing to embrace it.  Know that the magicians have built a strong foundation from which the realm can construct a premiere conclave of magical proportions, and as a member of that construction team you must feel proud to be part of such an important and meaningful project for Bungo. The beat goes on...

As I look back on my time as a member of the magicians - from the early days when we were trying to figure out how to spell magic, through our ritual development era - remember the maps inscribed on the cavern walls? - and the various evolutions of the SpellFests - I value the way in which we grew to be a tight and well-tuned cluster.  The external evidence of our magical efforts can be seen in The Orb, the many conclaves, and the vast multitudes of apprentice magicians.  However, the true value of our magical experience lies within each of you - the personal strength you developed to effectively embrace change as a way of life.  With 2003 just around the corner, I would like to thank each of you for the key role you played in both helping change the realm, and helping me personally, by allowing me to work with such a diverse and passionate group.  Lots of memories to share over nectar. [By the way, I fully realize that while scriblets are an efficient method for communication, it is completely ineffective for delivering personal messages.  Please accept my apologies.]

If you were not aware, I have recently decided to take a senior mystic position with the Timeserving Creaks, and will be leading that conclave beginning the first of January.  However, changing realms will not change my personal goal of continuing the journey to change the way we do magic - and I'm sure each of you could say the same thing.

Best wishes and thanks.  See you in the fields...
